As 2018 draws to a close, Forest Animal Rescue celebrates 20 years of rescuing animals in need. What an amazing 20 years it has been – and we couldn’t do it without support like yours!
Will you find it in your heart to help ensure that we can provide the best possible care for the animals we rescue?
All general fund donations dated before December 31, 2018 will be MATCHED 2:1 up to $15,000!! This means that each dollar you donate will bring TRIPLE the benefit to the animals!
With your help – we can raise $15,000 by December 31; these funds will be matched by our generous donor with another $30,000 for a total of $45,000 for the animals!
Last year, ten days after being hit by Hurricane Irma, we suddenly lost our source of donated food for the animals. For 19 years, we had fresh produce and raw meat donated to prepare healthy diets for all of the animals. This abruptly stopped when the grocery stores enforced their corporate policy to donate all of their unused food to a food bank partner. They turned us away with no notice.
We suddenly needed purchase $125,000 per year in food for the animals that we had not had to budget for in the past. We have not found another source of donated food, but we have located a wholesale supplier to purchase what the animals need.
Our friends are coming through to help…but we need to continue asking more people to join in if we are to continue our expansions and upcoming rescues.
If you are already helping – Thank you! If not, please pitch in and make a small, recurring gift each month. With your help, we can keep the monthly cash flow even with what we need to purchase food that was always donated in the past.
For recurring donations, we save on postage and printing expenses by mailing one year-end recap of your donations for income tax purposes.
Recurring gifts can be made using the donation button on this page. You maintain control over the monthly gifts to make changes at any time.
