The animals at the sanctuary are all safe. We are much more fortunate than many others.
Hurricane Ian took down some trees and branches, but all of our animals made it safely through the storm as they were secured in their safety areas!
Our facility-wide generator did a great job and the power is back on; we only sustained minor damages to our perimeter fence and large habitats.
We do, however, have quite a mess to clean up and will need to refill the big propane tanks for the next storm! Thank you for your support over the years – we are still here for the animals – thanks to you!
